Jill’s Laser Vision Correction Journey – Part 6

20-20 Vision?

I invite you along to my final post-op appointment with my Dr. Fong, my VSP optometrist, to have my protective contact lenses removed and find out where my prescription has landed just five days after surgery. Dr. Furlong let me know that my new vision should take a minimum of four weeks to stabilize and could take up to three or more months, especially with PRK. So we’ll see what five days afterwards looks like.

I was a bit nervous to remove to the lenses because there was a little comfort in knowing I still had a protective barrier over my recently lasered eyeballs and I would soon be exposing them to the many elements I encounter throughout my daily routine, which include very small hands and toys.

I will let you know that I was able to go back to work immediately following this appointment which I find absolutely amazing. Now I just need to figure out what to do with all of the contact lens solution I have left in my house…any one know if they have different uses like WD-40?
