Who says you can’t go home again? NBA star Tyreke Evans will return to his hometown of Chester, PA next week along with VSP Vision Care. Tyreke and VSP have partnered together for the past six years to help increase access for those in-need of high-quality eye care and eyewear by bringing the VSP Mobile Eyes program to its adopted city.
Putting emphasis on free eye exams for the people of this community isn’t the only thing that this team is striving for. 150 kids will also get to participate in a two-day basketball camp that will teach them fundamentals of the game along with strategies for becoming champions on and off the court. Additionally, campers will receive new backpacks and Nike sunglasses.
“I look forward to joining VSP Vision Care again. I’m happy to be going home to Chester, giving back, and meeting some great kids!” said Tyreke Evans. “The camp is also a great way to share the importance of healthy vision with the residents of Chester.”
