For more than 25 years, Monarch School in San Diego, Calif., has been a driving force to implement four key areas of growth with their students: academics, social, emotional, and life-changing skills. It sounds like the hopes of every school, but Monarch is a unique public-private model to help students whose lives are impacted by homelessness.
This month, the San Diego County Optometric Society, VSP Mobile Eyes, and volunteer optometrists will join together for the second year to provide comprehensive eye exams and new glasses to Monarch School students at no cost.
80% of what you learn is through your eyes. See how the gift of sight is helping these students pursue their passion in school and in life.
