For the fifth year, VSP Vision Care partnered with the Sacramento Kings to help provide the gift of sight to those in need through the Sacramento Kings Eyes of Hope Eyewear Donation Drive. Kings fans donated gently used eyeglasses and readers at the Kings game against the Washington Wizards on March 30 for our most successful eyewear drive with the Kings to date!
Not only did Kings fans come together to support the cause, but so did the employees of the Sacramento Kings and VSP Global who hosted eyewear drives in the week leading up to the big night. The donated glasses will be made available for VSP network doctors to use on eye care mission trips around the world through Eye Make A Difference, a VSP Global Eyes of Hope initiative.
VSP also matched the first 500 donations with no-cost eye exams and new glasses for students-in-need throughout the Sacramento region to help them to see their best in and out of the Students attending Cyril Spinelli Elementary School in Antelope joined VSP at the game and will be among the first to receive eye care through this donation.
Together, we’ll help 2,210 people see what’s possible!
