Annual Eye Exams

Interesting fact: women are three times more likely to get dry eye than men. In fact, women have a generally higher risk than men for many eye diseases, including macular degeneration. This study bodes well for women being proactive and taking care of their eye; however, it’s important to remember that men need an annual eye exam, too.

Annual eye exams are important for everyone because in addition to resolving any visual correction needs, your eye doctor can check the health of your eye. In fact, an eye exam is one of the best ways to detect signs of serious health conditions years before they begin to show symptoms.
